Day and Night

Students have been learning about the differences between day and night. They drew illustrations of things they can see during the day and things they can see at night. They also wrote about and illustrated activities that they do during the day (go to school, ear breakfast) and activities they do at night (wear pajamas, go to soccer practice). They also talked about things they do during the day and night ( brush teeth, eat).

Dental Health

We were so fortunate to have a parent from the class next door volunteer to teach each Kindergarten class about dental health. Ms. Amanda talked to the kids about healthy snacks and unhealthy snacks. She showed them some of the damage that sugary foods can do to your teeth by soaking an egg in fruit punch. The kids loved the visuals and the interactive tooth board she had. She even gave each student a goody bag with a new toothbrush and toothpaste. Ask your child what he/she learned about taking care of their teeth. Thanks again Ms. Amanda!!

Having fun with Eric Carle!

The students are really enjoying our author study of Eric Carle. They have listened to the following stories so far: Do You Want To Be My Friend?, Does A Kangaroo Have A Mother Too?, From Head to Toe, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and The Very Busy Spider. Here are a few pictures of the students enjoying some activities related to these books!
