Oh The Places You'll Go!!

My class intern, Mrs.Fabila taught a lesson to the class two weeks ago that was centered around the Dr.Seuss book, Oh, The Places You'll Go! After reading the book, students played a game in which they were divided into two teams and had to encourage their teammates! After that, she asked students to write a letter of encouragement to someone. The sweet words that the students wrote from their hearts were amazing! One student, Emma wrote the following encouraging letter to her classmate: Dear Angela, Your getting a bit stuck on writing today, right? But don't worry. Just take your time and try your best. You can do it! I know you can! All you need to work on is to remember capital letters, not to write sloppy, and trying your best to sound out words, if you get stuck on them. I hope you get better and better! By the way, I can see that you are working very hard, and, you are also working very hard on your writing skills a very, very lot! Keep up the good work! P.S.Your my best friend. Love, Emma
**Not only are these students learning to encourage each other, they are also able to evaluate their work and the work of others and recognize what skills need to improve and what skills are meeting standard! Just awesome!!
